UEFA announces the host cities for the 2026 and 2027 Champions League and Europa League finals.
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) announced today, Wednesday, that the German city of Frankfurt will host the Europa League final in 2027.
This will be the third time a German city hosts the event, following Hamburg in 2010 and Cologne in 2020.
At the same time, the city of Leipzig will host the Conference League final in 2026.
During a meeting in Dublin before the Europa League final – which will take place later today between Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta – UEFA’s Executive Committee decided that the Hungarian capital, Budapest, will host the Champions League final in 2026.
The decision to host the 2027 final has been postponed until next September, pending the Italian Football Federation’s submission of plans to renovate the San Siro Stadium in Milan.
Additionally, UEFA has awarded Istanbul the right to host the Europa League final in 2026 and the Conference League final in 2027.
