Cristiano Ronaldo achieves unprecedented “world” record
The Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player in the world to achieve the top scorer title in four different countries after scoring two goals against Al-Ittihad in the conclusion of the Saudi Pro League.
On Monday, the Al-Nassr captain broke the “record” of Moroccan Abderrazak Hamdallah and became the player with the most goals in a single season in the Saudi Professional League, reaching 35 goals.
The Portuguese legend also broke a similar record, being the only player in history to win the top scorer title in three of the five major European leagues. He achieved this in the English Premier League in the 2007-2008 season with 31 goals for Manchester United, then with Real Madrid in the 2010-2011 season with 40 goals, in the 2013-2014 season with 31 goals, and in the 2014-2015 season with 48 goals. He then accomplished this feat with Juventus in the 2020-2021 season, scoring 21 goals.
